Home Visits

If you are too ill to attend surgery, please telephone before 10.30am and be prepared to give details of the problem to the receptionist.

This helps the doctor when planning their rounds and avoids unnecessary delay.

Home visits are only available for patients who are house-bound because of illness or disability.

Home visits take up a large amount of a doctor’s time, and the doctors will not have the resources available to them at the surgery. We therefore always recommend attending the surgery to be seen if at all possible. The decision to visit is at the discretion of the doctor, who may telephone you to discuss whether a visit is the best option for your care.
