Teaching & Training

Bronyffynnon surgery is a long established teaching practice who are committed to training and supporting the future of GP's in North Wales & the UK.

We are able to provide placements to various trainees in order for them to gain the necessary experience to advance in their educational journey.

GP Registrars

By hosting GP registrars at the practice, the surgery gains experienced qualified doctors who have several years of postgraduate hospital experience. These registrars work at the surgery for periods of 6 to 18 months in order to gain general practice experience. 

Their presence at the practice enhances and improves the services we are able to offer to our patients, including the ability to offer additional consultations.

As a patient at Bronyffynnon Surgery, you may be offered an appointment with a GP registrar. Please note that all Registrars are supported during their training by one of the GP partners at the practice at all times. 

Medical Students

We also host medical students from various backgrounds who are wishing to pursue a career in medicine. These placements usually last between 4 and 8 weeks.
